Getting involved in experiential learning opportunities is a valuable way to enrich your student life, explore new activities and contribute to your social development and academic success.
At McMaster Engineering, we reward those who learn outside of the classroom. We offer innovative programming, both inside and outside the classroom, to inspire our students, setting them on the path to becoming tomorrow’s groundbreaking thought leaders and innovators.
Supportive and diverse community
The Faculty of Engineering community is a family of students, faculty members, staff and alumni. The fireball is our official symbol and is at the heart of what keeps us together.
When you come to McMaster, not only are you part of one of the world’s top universities, you are joining the #FireballFamily. We foster a spirit of innovation through cooperation – not competition.
Big Ideas are born at McMaster Engineering
There’s a reason why so many of our students are also musicians, dancers, writers, poets and artists; engineering is a profession that is made for creative problem-solvers who use both sides of their brain to develop innovative solutions.
At McMaster, students learn to identify and frame problems, design and prototype solutions and pitch their big ideas to clients and investors.
Interested in research? Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering have the opportunity to work with professors and graduate students on a research project. Students can get involved in research as early as after their first year of studies.
