Reshape how manufacturing industries function by creating smarter and more sustainable engineering and business processes.
Known as the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0 is a vision for how modern automation, manufacturing, and information technology can work together for process optimization. From designing plants, to programming sensors, our faculty prepare students to change the face of today’s interconnected manufacturing industry from every angle through smart systems and processes. As part of Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT) connects devices embedded in everyday objects, living beings, and technology to each other through complex networks. In the W Booth School, we focus on how to create, regulate, protect, and improve these networks for the purpose of developing “smarter” and more sustainable engineering and business processes.
