Overview

Dr. Morton’s research includes but is not limited to fluid-structure interaction and flow control, flow sensing and flow estimation, aerodynamics, energy engineering, intelligent and autonomous systems, UAV technology development, sustainable sources.

Dr. Morton’s current research is in the areas of:

  • Unsteady aerodynamics and fluid-structure interactions in Aerospace applications
  • Optical diagnostics and advanced measurement techniques for fluid mechanics
  • Sensor-based unsteady and turbulent flow monitoring solutions for engineering applications
  • Flow estimation and non-linear control in unsteady aerodynamics and fluid-structure interactions
  • Energy harvesting through exploiting fluid-structure interactions
