Mac Eng March Break Tours  

Join us at McMaster University’s campus for a Faculty of Engineering-related tour with our current students and a chance to connect with the Recruitment Team staff.

  • How to Register:

    REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to manage capacity limits on each tour – please select your date and time at the registration link.

  • Cancelling Your Tour:

    If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to free up your spot. 



 
Please be aware that MacEng Tours is not a full campus tour and will only be going over the Faculty of Engineering dedicated areas of McMaster’s campus. For more information on joining a general campus tour, please click here. 
 
This event is for Faculty of Engineering undergraduate students who have applied or are interested in applying in have applied or are interested in applying in the future to one of our four Level 1 programs: Bachelor of Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, and Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences. 

Block Heading

  • Your tour guide (a current student of the Faculty of Eng) will take you on an approximately 1-hour walking tour of some of our Faculty of Eng dedicated spaces, showcasing various parts of being a student at Mac Eng.  
  • Asking questions throughout your tour is encouraged! The ambassadors are excited to share information about their programs and MacEng experiences, such as co-op, research, extra-curricular involvement, etc. 
  • Upon your tour end, you can connect with some of our Mac Eng Recruitment team to ask additional questions. Questions regarding the status of any applications will not be discussed. You can contact the team by email for further investigation if necessary.   
    • The time you have registered for only accounts for the approximately 1-hour tour; you are welcome to chat with the Recruitment Team after your tour for however long you need to ensure all your questions are answered.  
  • Before or after your designated tour time, you are welcome to explore campus on your own. A campus map will be shared with you on your tour to share additional areas of interest you may want to check out. 
  • Due to the limited availability of our tour guides and to ensure an enjoyable experience for our guests, there is a capacity for each departing tour. Registration is required.  
  • Registration should be completed by each student interested in applying to Mac Eng. Each student should limit the guests joining them on the tour to 2-3 max. [Example: If three friends are visiting Mac Eng together and all three are interested in our program, each student should register individually.] 
  • Tours will depart at their scheduled time, so please arrive at the John Hodgins Engineering Building lobby for your tour check-in at least 5-10 minutes early.  
    • If you are late for your tour, we cannot guarantee another tour will be available for you to join. A campus map will allow you to explore the campus on your own.  
  • If you require any accommodations, please indicate in your registration for our tour guides to best support you. 

Tour Location 
The address of McMaster University is 1280 Main St W, Hamilton, ON L8S 4L8.  

Our tours will depart from the John Hodgins Engineering (JHE) Building; please follow the signs JHE! We recommend entering the building from the main entrances of JHE facing the field side. You will know it is the proper entrance as an iron ring statue is in front of the building!

Parking 
There are various parking areas on the McMaster campus; please take a look at this map. However, our event will be set up in the JHE building; the closest parking lot we recommend is Lot I (i, not 1). 

Please be mindful of traffic signs while on campus, as some streets are only allowed to be used by city buses and campus services. 

We are happy to offer you reimbursement for your parking on campus if you join us for this event; please request this from our Recruitment Staff at the end of your tour. Only one (1) parking pass will be offered per registered student.
