Circular Vinyl Technologies Symposium

The Faculty of Engineering invites you to join us at the first annual April 9, 2024 at CIBC Hall on McMaster University’s main campus to learn about circular vinyl initiative, research in sustainable plastic development and hear from industry lead keynote speakers. 

This symposium promises to be an invaluable opportunity to delve into the latest advancements and strategies driving the circular economy within the vinyl and plastic industry.

We have an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers who are paving the way for sustainability in vinyl, including:

🔹 Alex Grover, President of i2M, and recipient of the prestigious 2023 Recycler of the Year Award from the Vinyl Sustainability Council.

🔹 Jay Thomas, VP of Sustainability at Vinyl Institute, spearheading initiatives towards a circular vinyl economy in North America.

The symposium will also feature invited research presentations and poster contributions highlighting the advances in PVC recycling, reprocessing and upcycling, as well as sustainable plastics manufacturing.
