Leaders in Training
Mac Eng Community Outreach will be offering the Leaders in Training (LIT) Program for Summer 2026.
This opportunity is available to students in Grades 9 to 12 as of September 2026.
Join us for two weeks this summer as a Leader-in-Training. Here is what you’ll get…
The chance to earn your high school volunteer hours. Most LIT’s will earn 75 hours during their placement.
Mentorship from a volunteer coordinator and McMaster undergrad students.
The opportunity to practice transferable work skills, like communication, presentation skills, team work, problem solving, and attendance management.
New friends and connections.
References. All LITs will receive a certificate and letter outlining LIT duties, confirming their participation in the program. Outstanding LIT’s, will receive special awards and personalized reference letters, which can be used to apply for jobs and universities and scholarships.
