About the event
Join us for the opening reception of Rooted Beings, a Faculty of Engineering Black History Month exhibition that brings together art, storytelling, and lived experience from our Black engineering community.
Rooted Beings highlights the voices of students, alumni, faculty, and leaders whose work is grounded in identity, purpose, and impact. Through visual artworks, written reflections, and video storytelling, the exhibition invites viewers to consider what it means to be rooted — in heritage, in community, and in the future we are building.
The opening reception offers an opportunity to experience the exhibition together, connect in community, and engage with the stories that inspired it.
After the Opening
Following the opening reception, Rooted Beings will be on display throughout February across multiple locations, including JHE, ETB, and ITB.
