Mechatronics Engineering and Management III

Why McMaster? I chose McMaster University because of the tight-knit community, helpful nature of peers, and flexibility in academics to cater your time here to be exactly as you want it to be. I chose mechatronics because I wanted a truly multidisciplinary stream with aspects of software but also mechanical, electrical, embedded systems, etc.

Involvement within the Community: I have taken part in a wide variety of extracurriculars, In my first 2 years, I was very focussed on my roles in Engineers Without Borders, as a part of the Global Engineering Conference Logistics team first and then a Director for Global Engineering Outreach. This year I am also a part of Chem-E Car, as well.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?: I see myself in a small tech firm where innovation is the name of the game. I want to be in a managerial position where I can guide a team of intelligent, bright individuals to make great strides in technological advances.

Advice to Incoming Students: You can definitely succeed in the program, as long as you are diligent and stay on top of your work. It is important to use the supportive resources McMaster offers you to the fullest. Always know there are people to help you along the way and make the most of your time at McMaster before it is over.
