Your DECA experience: "DECA allowed me to expand my communications and problem solving skills, while growing my network of ambitious and unique individuals. I learned invaluable skills, that I can carry forward into every aspect of life, such as greeting, debating and time management skills."

Why McMaster?: "McMaster allowed me to explore the largest array of opportunities and resources. How did DECA help prepare you for your university program?: DECA allowed me to practice vital productivity skills that are really crucial in my intensive Engineering program at McMaster. I was able to practice efficient usage of time through the time crunched role play events, as well as effective communication. Another vital skill I picked during my years participating in DECA was the power of collaboration. Studying for the DECA exams and later teaching them as Marketing trainer for my chapter, allowed me to truly grasp the value of having a group of minds working together to understand large concepts and that is extremely applicable in my current program."
