Describe McMaster Engineering in one word: Interesting

What advice would you share to a prospective student? Enjoy and explore university at your own pace! There's no need to rush into all of the new things university has to offer you. Take your time, settle in. All the extra-curricular activities and other opportunities happen all year-round so once you feel comfortable you can explore. However, it doesn't hurt to try something new every year and who knows, you might really like it and it could change your university experience forever!

How have you immersed yourself in the extra-curricular life and what has been your favourite aspect being involved? I have been involved with various extra-curriculars in my time at universities such as being a part of the Engineering Redsuit Welcome Week team where we get to welcome incoming first years into the school and show them what McMaster is all about. I've also been involved with volunteering and working for the Faculty of Engineering and my favourite part of being involved is helping with the planning and logistics of the open houses we hold here at McMaster for prospective students coming in.

What's something special and fun we should know about you? My friends and I started an indie rock band in university and we have released our original songs on all major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music and we have performed live at venues around Hamilton. It's definitely a super cool experience.
