W Booth School Presents B Tech Student Showcase of Quality Assurance Projects in Partnership with the Hamilton Section of the American Society of Quality

Overview

You're invited to a free community event that provides a public platform for students in the W Booth School Bachelor of Technology Program to present projects from the Quality Control and Assurance Methods course.

This general technologies course, taught by Karen Lawrence, introduces statistical tools, tests and techniques that form the foundation of modern quality assurance in sectors ranging from manufacturing and healthcare to biotechnology and municipal services.

Select students will present highlights of their "Design of Experiments" projects intended to demonstrate an understanding of the basics of statastically-grounded, factorial experiments. The projects will be reviewed by members of the Hamilton Section of the American Society of Quality (ASQ), a global community of quality professionals dedicated to the advancement of organizational quality. Students representing the top projects will receive monetary awards from the Hamilton Section of ASQ.

In addition to supporting teaching and learning at the W Booth School, this annual event offers an opportunity for students, faculty and quality practitioners from the local area to interact and strenghten relationships. These relationships help students network with industry professionals and unlock possible career opportunities in this growing field. Our school's link to ASQ also helps keep curriculum and instructional methods up to date with new and emerging trends.
