This past August the provincial government invested $1.3M in funding for two McMaster programs designed to help job seekers in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Learn more about these programs as well as a suite of learning opportunities for technical professionals through the Certificate of Completion Learning Hub.

This Learning Hub offers advanced learning for technical professionals with a mix of conference-style learning and online resources and tools.This professional certificate program delivers a comprehensive, subject-focused program in a 3-day, conference-style format with academic grounding, guest speakers, and application.

A cost-saving opportunity: Next Generation Manufacturing (NGen) is partnering with the Learning Hub to offer a unique opportunity for Canadian professionals in the manufacturing sector. Online courses are offered offerings at a reduced cost of $750 instead of $2,000. The next upcoming course will be on Circular Economy and will be held from October 21st to October 23rd 2021.

MMRI Industrial Training Program

In partnership with Employment Ontario, the McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute (MMRI) at McMaster University is now offering a problem-based educational program in the area of advanced manufacturing. With more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and industrial activities, the MMRI is uniquely positioned to provide quality, industry-informed training that uses all of its resources, including facilities, industry scale equipment, and experts in the field.
