Dr. Anna Korol is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Education and Innovation in the Department of Medicine. As a passionate Hamiltonian, Anna is committed to creating a sustainable structure for health technology innovation here at McMaster. Her educational interests are centred around forming interdisciplinary collaborations and student-industry partnerships that enrich the entrepreneurial ecosystem specifically, at the interface between health sciences and engineering.

Anna completed her PhD in Biomedical Engineering and MSc in Medical Sciences at McMaster. Her research focused on identifying mechano-therapeutic targets for the prevention of cataracts and other fibrotic pathologies. Since completing her graduate work, she has developed educational content and taught at the undergraduate, graduate and continuing levels with a focus on experiential and self-driven learning in the fields of health engineering, entrepreneurship, eHealth, cell biology, clinical research, and statistics.

 Anna teaches in the health engineering entrepreneurship stream of iBiomed and develops new educational projects in MGD Health Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship (Health ICE).
