iBioMed students are invited to get connected during this optional and FREE 5-day workshop series. This series includes everything from MATLAB, Python, networking opportunities, a Hack-a-Thon and more! Please register by Monday August 17th, 2020 at 11:59 PM.

What is iBioMed Connect?

iBioMed Connect is an optional 5-day workshop series available to all iBioMed students. Sessions include programming fundamentals, an upper-year student panel, introductions to various campus and program resources, our first-ever Hackathon and more! If you're a new iBioMed student, this is a great opportunity to get an introduction to various programming languages while also learning leadership and interpersonal skills. You will also have the chance to participate in networking opportunities where you can connect with new and upper-year iBioMed students.

Are you an upper-year iBioMed student who needs a bit of a refresher? No problem! Consider brushing up on your programming skills in our MATLAB, Python or Raspberry Pi workshops.

The following workshops are included in this series:

  • Day 1: Kick-Off: Introductions, Upper-Year Student Panel, AutoDesk, CAD, 3D Printing
  • Day 2: MATLAB
  • Day 3: Python, Raspberry Pi
  • Day 4: Hackathon Day 1
  • Day 5: Hackathon Day 2 (continuation from Day 1)

Important Notes:

  • This workshop series is free and optional and has no impact on your grades.
  • There is a morning and afternoon session offered for days 1-3. Content is exactly the same for both sessions.
  • Students may register for as many workshops as they like; they are not required to register for all sessions.
