A $40,000 commitment to create a new scholarship for engineering students at McMaster University grew into a $300,000+ endowed fund with more than 40 start-up founders, CEOs, world-leading scientists, engineers, and economists contributing to the effort.

A gift from Max Wong, professor emeritus of the department of electrical and computer engineering, is propelling the advancement of quantum technology research at McMaster University.

We are thrilled to share that we have surpassed our goal raising $87,670 for the NSBEMac Entrance Award on McMaster’s Day of Giving! Your support will provide a long-lasting impact on our Black engineering students.

By celebrating the many exceptional student leaders in the Black community, we hope to inspire and encourage more Black students to apply to McMaster Engineering.
