New Faculty Orientation: Graduate Attributes 101

We invite you to join us to learn about the graduate attributes (competencies) that our students are required to have and how they relate to our programs' accreditation with the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).

The Graduate Attributes 101 session will be co-facilitated by Dr. Marilyn Lightstone, Professor and Chair, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Sarah Dickson-Anderson, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.  

The workshop will cover:

1) Background on the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)

2) Importance of attaining your Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation

3) What are "graduate attributes"?

4) Curriculum mapping

5) How to write a learning outcome statement

6) Indicator measurements

7) Graduate attribute documentation
