Equity and Inclusion Champion De-Brief Sessions

In an effort to ensure that equity and inclusion issues remain a central consideration in decision making at all levels within the Faculty of Engineering, the role of Equity and Inclusion Champion was established on all Faculty standing and operating committees for the 2018-2019 academic year. We want to thank you for being part of our inaugural cohort of Equity and Inclusion Champions. As the academic year comes to an end and your committee work wraps up, the Dean has asked that you provide a report to your committee chair on the activities and metrics (where available) that demonstrates how equity and inclusion was considered by the committee(s) you served, along with the outcomes of those considerations.

Overview

Through a facilitated small group discussion, you will gain insights to help you begin preparing the equity and inclusion report, including the use of possible metrics and measurements.

Facilitators:

Arig al Shaibah, AVP, Equity and Inclusion

Vilma Rossi, Senior Manager, Equity and Inclusion Office

May-Marie Duwai-Sowa, Employment Equity Specialist

Dr. Kim Jones, Chair, Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE) and Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering
