Overview

Power electronics is the application of semiconductor devices for control and conversion of one form of electrical energy to another. Thus, power converters play a key role in power systems and can be found in a wide range of applications, including but not limited to, renewable energy integration, power transmission, microgrids, motor drives, electric vehicles, wireless charges, and medical devices. Therefore, any improvements in the features of the existing power converters can have a broad impact on our daily lives. My research mainly focuses on the development of novel power converter topologies, modeling and control aspects of power converters, and the application of power electronics in power systems.
