Faculty of Engineering international undergraduate applicants and future students are invited to join our pop-up applications forum. For two straight days (and nights!), you’ll get exclusive access to admissions and scholarship experts, current MacEng students, co-op and career advisors, and more… all in ONE virtual space.

Overview

Join us on January 14th & 15th 2021 Eastern Time (ET)!

At this 24/7 multi-day online event, you'll have a chance to: 

  • Attend info sessions and Q&A discussions on scholarships, applications & admissions, co-op, student life, and more

  • Post your questions on our "Ask MacEng Anything" discussion boards

  • Schedule 1:1 video and/or text chats with recruitment experts and current students

  • Chat live with current MacEng international students!

Drop by for your favourite sessions, come for a full day, or chat with us for 48 hours straight (but don't forget to take breaks!)

  • Don't worry if you miss something! Recordings of the event will be available

All Things Admissions: We will cover a wide variety of topics regarding admissions, including program requirements, international curriculums, supplementary application, documents and deadlines, Mosaic, offers, and more!

Money Matters: We know money is an important topic for all students. Come and learn more about application-based scholarships, research awards, automatic entrance scholarships, in-course awards, bursaries, work-programs, co-op, tuition, cost of living, and more!

Join us for Q&A sessions on a variety of topics that will provide you with exclusive information on all things McMaster Engineering. Your questions will be answered live and on our comprehensive discussion boards. You won't want to miss these!

  • Applications Q&A
    • We are here to answer all of your applications questions! Whether you have already applied and are wondering about the status of your application, or if you would like to learn more about applying to McMaster Engineering, this is the session for you!
  • Scholarships Q&A
    • The Faculty of Engineering offers more than $1,000,000 in available scholarships and research awards! Only one application is required to be considered for all eligible awards. Ask us any questions about your scholarship application - due February 12th.
  • Co-op and Careers Q&A
    • Every Faculty of Engineering student has access to our co-op program. The best part? You decide when you would like to complete co-op and we'll help you get there. Our co-op ambassadors are here to answer all of your questions!
  • International Student Services
    • Hear from our International Student Services professionals about the services and programs we offer for international students at McMaster University! We are here to support you through immigration advising, success coaching, peer support, events, and more!

Drop in at any time to ask all of your questions on curriculum and course requirements, documents, deadlines, supplementary application, offers, and more! Our admissions experts will either answer your questions live on camera or respond on our comprehensive discussion boards. 

International Student Experience Drop-In: Our International Student Experience Drop-In booth is running for the duration of the event so you can "Ask MacEng Anything"! Drop in at any time to ask all of your questions on MacEng student life, extracurriculars, programs, transition to university, the international student experience, and more! Our current MacEng students will either answer your questions live on camera or respond on our comprehensive discussion boards.

  • First Year Experience
    • Hear from our first-year international students about their first semester as a McMaster Engineering student! They will share their experiences on transitioning to university, first year classes, and more. 
  • Scholarships Q&A

Event Tips

How to make the most of our Virtual Events

Before the Event

  • Sign up in advance! This ensures you get all the necessary links and information before the event starts.
  • Check out our website. Take some time to review our website to learn more about our programs, application process, scholarships, resources, and more!

  • Look at the schedule and plan out your time at the eventOur events offer many opportunities to learn about all the wonderful things McMaster Engineering has to offer. Take a minute to look at what’s going on to plan out your time accordingly.

During the Event

  • Try to attend as many sessions as you can! Although it all may seem a little overwhelming, by attending different sessions, you will learn a variety of topics from Admissions to Student Life to Co-op. Who knows? You may learn something new you have not even thought of in the past!

  • Chat with our Recruitment Staff. They are the experts on everything admission related. Our wonderful team will tell you everything you need to know about applying, admissions & overall strengths of our McMaster Engineering programs. 

  • Spend time with our International Student Ambassadors. Our current students are the experts on their programs. They can provide the insider-scoop on their courses and programs, transitioning to university and student life at McMaster. Afterall, who better to discuss McMaster Engineering with than students a part of it right now!

  • Ask questions! All McMaster representatives at the event are here to help YOU! Not sure what to ask our Student Ambassadors? Check out some great questions to get you started.

  • Take breaks! To stay engaged, it is best to take some time between sessions to stretch, grab a snack or just take your eyes off the screen.
