Eng Phys’ Chair One of Two Researchers Across Canada to Acquire Two Grants from NSERCOctober 19, 2016

Yesterday, Eng Phys’ own, Dr. Ray LaPierre, proved that  our department is made of superstars (not that much proof was really needed!). As one of two researchers across Canada to acquire not one, but two Strategic Partnership Grants from NSERC, Ray continued to make our department proud.

The two projects in question, which total $896,000 in grant dollars and include strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Morgan Solar and Teledyne Dalsa, include one that will develop more efficient solar cells and the other to advance the research field of infrared photodetection.
