Overview
Dr. James Cotton, Professor at McMaster University.
An Energy Solution: Integrated Community Energy and Harvesting Systems.
Abstract:
The world is facing tremendous challenges related to energy, sustainability, equity and climate change. Community Energy Partnerships and energy harvesting represent a low-carbon energy pathway for communities to develop sustainable and climate-friendly energy source both in Canada, and around the world. By placing the energy and harvesting systems locally each community can adapt the systems to best suit their needs and by hosting locally, maximize the benefits in terms of job creation and economic impact. This talk will provide the basis for community energy systems and energy harvesting and discuss its role in the energy future.
