Join us for our Women in Engineering Industry Night!

Interested in a career in Engineering? Not sure what to do after you’ve finished your degree?

Please come and join us for an insightful night of discussions, led by female alumnae and company representatives from engineering industries.

Each year, McMaster Engineering Alumni hosts a networking and mentorship evening for Women in Engineering to connect female students with company representatives and female alumnae for an evening of mentorship and networking. Although the event will look different this year on a virtual platform, there’s still a great opportunity for networking – right from the comfort of your own home!

This event will offer female engineering students the opportunity to discuss study skills, career development and life after university with alumnae and company representatives who have been in your shoes.  They will share their knowledge/advice, career anecdotes, and tips on what industry partners are looking for in a candidate and so much more…

Contributing to multiple small projects within one area of study. May be some opportunity for short travel stints, hands on work, and site visits - depending on  area you work &  function of  office. Depending on the nature of work within your group, you may initially work as the “project engineer” supervised by a senior engineer or the project manager. This could mean that you are the engineer that gets to take the “deep dive” into a project and into the problem solving with someone senior providing guidance and support; a helpful setup when you’re starting out and have so much to learn.
