ITE McMaster Student Chapter wins Delta AwardJuly 9, 2018

4 Members of the ITE McMaster Student Chapter attended the 2018 CITE Conference in June, winning the Student Chapter Delta Award

The Department of Civil Engineering would like to congratulate the ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineers) McMaster Student Chapter for winning the Delta Award at the 2018 CITE Conference in Edmonton, Alberta, June 2-6, 2018.

The purpose of the Student Chapter Delta Award is to encourage student chapters to strive for the objectives set forth in the Charter and to provide a means for the Institute to recognize outstanding accomplishments in such activities. Based on the Chapter Activity award, the Delta Award recognizes those Student Chapters who have achieved overall improvement from year(s) past with respect to chapter activities.

The McMaster Chapter won the Canadian Traffic Bowl for the first time last year and have been working to increase their presence in the McMaster community, educating others about Transportation Engineering. The four Civil Engineering Students and ITE Chapter members flew to Alberta for the Conference this past June, attending a number of technical sessions, the CITE Studdent Leadership Summit, and other activities.
