Chat with a McMaster Engineering Ambassador

Learn more about McMaster Engineering by chatting with our undergraduate ambassadors to find out about programs, clubs and teams, extracurricular and co-curricular programming, co-op work experience, maintaining school/life balance, undergraduate research, innovation inside and outside the classroom, varsity and recreational athletics, and so much more.

How do you get started? It’s easy!

  1. Select a MacEng Buddy from the student or staff tab.
  2. Click “Chat with…” to start and click ” Start Chatting Now”.
  3. Fill out a quick profile.
  4. Adjust your communication preferences under settings.
  5. Start chatting!**

**Please note that this service is not a live chat. Our Unibuddy student ambassadors and staff will respond as soon as they can. If someone is not responsive within 48h our admin team will follow up with you to connect you with someone else. Please avoid sending the same messages to multiple profiles at the same time. 

The Unibuddy platform is intended as a platform for future students to connect to McMaster University’s current student ambassadors. Suitable topics of conversation for ambassadors include student life, clubs and teams, living on and off-campus, recreation facilities on campus, the City of Hamilton, and the student’s experience at McMaster in their academic program. Admissions/application questions should be directed to staff. Prospective students and other users of this platform should not disclose personal information such as phone numbers, email addresses, or any other personal contact information. Communications between prospective students and student ambassadors should only take place using the Unibuddy platform.
