Pedagogy from innovation computer science education programs

Overview

Several real-world innovative computer science education programs and their related pedagogy will be discussed.  Programs will include a coding bootcamp for learners not currently in education, employment, or training, as well as a lunch hour learn to code club that has reached thousands of elementary school students.  Though the learning objectives, structure and students in these programs are different from traditional undergraduate education, adopting various aspects of the pedagogy of these programs within an undergraduate course can be effective, and examples of this adoption will be discussed.
