SELECT Program Application
Thank you for choosing to apply for SELECT. Completing this application is the first step of getting involved with SELECT program and community. Full participation of the program includes, but is not limited to, the requirements leading to the SELECT Leadership Certificate.
Please complete your responses below. A number of seats are reserved for incoming first year students, MES club designations and selected invitations. Remaining seats are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Seats are limited, so it is advised that you submit your application as early as possible.
Each seat in the program is extremely valuable. For new registrants, there is a $40 deposit due at the Orientation; for those continuing from pilot year of SELECT, there is a $20 deposit due at the Orientation. All deposits will be returned upon completion of all required modules within the registration year. Those who miss a module will still be able to complete program requirements in the following year; Original deposit will not be returned, and new deposit is not required.

*The SELECT program is generously supported by the Faculty of Engineering and alumni, under the direction of the Dean of Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
Level 1: Open to all registered McMaster Engineering undergraduate students
Level 2: Open to those who completed Level 1, and final year students with senior level experience in student leadership (eligibility and prep work determined on a case-by-case basis)
Certificate Requirements
1 Orientation
4 Module workshops (2 alternative dates available to each Module; self-registration required)
1 Exit evaluation
based on extracurricular involvement
Modules - All modules are from 7-9:30 pm, offered Wednesday and Thursday. Location is provided upon registration.
Module 1: late-September 2012
Module 2: late-October 2012
Module 3: late-November 2012
Module 4: late-January 2013
