Students Vote for Prof. Nicola Nicolici

September 29, 2010

Nicola Nicolici, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, was named this semester's recipient of the McMaster Students Union Teaching Award for Engineering.

Prof. Nicolici was recognized at a ceremony in Council Chambers on September 23 along with fellow award recipients from Commerce, Arts and Science, Humanities, Social Science, Science, Kinesiology, and Nursing.

The MSU Teaching Awards are an annual campaign to celebrate the best in teaching at McMaster University. Each semester, students have the opportunity to nominate their favourite, most challenging, most engaging instructors. The Teaching Awards Committee tallies each entry and determines a short list of candidates based on student feedback. The Teaching Awards committee then makes class visits to evaluate the short-listed candidates and amalgamates the data over both semesters.
