Graduate Students Awards for Engineering

Two members of the Faculty of Engineering were recognized by the Graduate Students Association for their contributions to graduate study at McMaster.

Waleed Shinwari, a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was presented with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Communicating Graduate Research.  This award recognizes excellence in communicating the results and importance of research, both for obtaining future research support and for reaching out to the public. 

Nels Grauman Neander, a graduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, received the GSA Honour Society (Distinguished Service) Award. This award recognizes the involvement of graduate students who have contributed significantly to the broader community while excelling in their graduate program.

The awards were announced at the 14th annual Graduate Students Recognition Celebration on October 14.
