New Director for Computational School

Bartosz Protas has been appointed the new Director of the McMaster School of Computational Engineering & Science. His appointment is for a five-year period effective July 1.

Prof. Protas is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He earned his PhD in Mechanics at Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) and in Fluid Dynamics at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France). He earned his M.Sc. at Warsaw University of Technology. His primary research interests are in theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, scientific computing and industrial mathematics, control and estimation theory and numerical optimization
