John MacGregor receives the Nordic Process Control Award

John MacGregor receives the Nordic Process Control Award John F. MacGregor, professor emeritus in the department of chemical engineering, was presented with the Nordic Process Control Award on January 29, 2009 during the 15th Nordic Process Control Workshop held in Porsgrunn, Norway. The award is presented for lasting and significant contributions to the field of process control.

Prof. MacGregor is the tenth recipient of this award. He was selected for his groundbreaking contributions to the theory and use of statistical methods for process monitoring and optimization. The title of his award lecture was "Latent Variable Methods in Process Systems Engineering".
