Hodgins Lecture and Engineering Education Symposium

Gilles Patry, P.Eng., former president and vice-chancellor of the University of Ottawa, and a past professor of civil engineering at McMaster, will be the guest lecturer at the 26th Annual J.W. Hodgins Memorial Lecture on Thursday, October 22, 7:00 p.m. He will speak about the future of engineering education and the need to make it a more visible profession. The event is being held in the Information Technology Building (ITB), Room 137. It is open to the public and free of charge.
The Lecture is being held in conjunction with a Symposium of the Future of Engineering Education that day in ETB-238. Speakers include: Johnathan Fishbein, Globalization; Doug Barber, Innovation; Peter Topalovic, Policy Integration; Eugene Roman, Entrepreneurship; Sarah Dickson, Restoration of Ecosystems; and Gord Irons, Sustainability.
