January 25, 2009
Gail Krantzberg, director of the Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy in the McMaster School of Engineering Practice, is featured in an information campaign promoting Ontario's Green Belt. She discusses the role the Greenbelt plays in sustaining water in the Great Lakes region.
Organized by the Ontario Greenbelt Alliance, the campaign includes print advertising and a video series highlighting different aspects of the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is comprised of 1.8 million acres of land that wraps around the Golden Horseshoe, encompassing the Niagara Escarpment, the Oak Ridges Moraine, Rouge Park, hundreds of towns and villages and some 7,000 farms.
