Faculty and students are being invited to showcase their research, connect with investors, learn more about commercialization, and recognize their peers at the second annual McMaster Innovation Showcase.
This year’s showcase, themed Journeys in Innovation, is being held June 18 and 19 at McMaster Innovation Park. There are three parts to the Showcase: a poster competition, education sessions, and a new Innovator Awards program.
Abstracts for the Poster Competition are being accepted until May 26. Entry is open to all faculty, researchers and students at the university, Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and Mohawk College. Posters are to feature commercialization-ready research. Prizes are $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third. Details at: milo.mcmaster.ca/showcase/poster.html
Nominations for two new VPR McMaster Innovator Awards are being accepted until May 22. The community is encouraged to nominate their choice for two awards: Innovator of the Year and Lifetime Innovator.
