Remembering Dr. Robert Horvath

Dr. Robert Horvath, professor emeritus of civil engineering, died suddenly Friday evening. Prof. Horvath taught at McMaster and undertook research studies in the area of geo-technical engineering. He was with the University for 19 years before retiring in 2001.

The Faculty offers its sincere condolences to Sylvia Horvath, Prof. Horvath's wife, and their family. Visitation/viewing will be from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1.  The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Flamborough Christian Fellowship, 329 6th Concession East, Millgrove, Ontario (visitation will be available from 12-1).  Interment will be at the Garden City Cemetary, immediately following the service.  A reception will be held after the graveside service at Flamborough Christian Fellowship.
