New Engineering Video Looks at Pluses of Graduate Study

A new video that looks at the world of graduate study in engineering went live today on YouTube and Vimeo. Produced by McMaster’s Faculty of Engineering, the fast-paced video features students and faculty discussing the benefits of pursuing a graduate degree.

The five-minute video, titled Your Vision. Your Future. Engineering Graduate Studies., also addresses some of the misconceptions about graduate studies, many of which prevent qualified students from looking at their full range of career options.

"With specialized knowledge becoming essential in many of today’s engineering disciplines, and a greater variety of programs available, more and more students are looking at the benefits of graduate study," said David Wilkinson, Dean, Faculty of Engineering.

Some of the other topics touched on in the video include suitability for graduate studies, lifestyle, and program options. And, of course, there is a quick overview of why McMaster is such a great place to study engineering at the graduate level.
