Graduate Develops Radar Technology to Avert Bird-Strikes

Technology developed by Tim Nohara, CEO of Accipiter Radar Technologies Inc. in Fonthill, Ontario, is helping to avert bird-strikes at major airports in North America. With aircraft bird strikes rising 64 per cent between 2002 and 2007, and incidents such as the US Airways Flight landing in the Hudson River this past January, the need for this technology is great.
