McMaster Presents Annual Engineering Awards

Some 50 faculty, students and community members will be recognized for their achievements and contributions at the eighth annual Applause & Accolades Awards Celebration organized by the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University. The event will be held on Thursday, May 12 at LIUNA Station. 

Special award recipients:

  • Juergen Schachler, president and CEO, ArcelorMittal Dofasco will be presented with the Faculty of Engineering Leadership Award;
  • Pierre Côté, president, Côté Membrane Separation Ltd. and former chief technology officer, Zenon Environmental Ltd., will be presented with the L.W. Shemilt Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award (Ph.D. ’86, Civil Engineering);
  • Kon Max Wong, professor of electrical and computer engineering, and Canada Research Chair in Signal Processing, McMaster University, will be presented with the Faculty of Engineering Research Achievement Award.
