Experiential Learning

To aid in experiential learning the building itself is a learning tool. Mechanical and structural elements are left exposed and labelled for the students to see and learn from. The sustainability features will be labelled and have real time and historical energy use data available online.

The shop area for the engineering teams will allow for hands on manufacturing and assembly of components for team projects. To assist the design process a design studio with drawing tables and visual equipment would be available to teams. A computer lab with the required design software will also allow for improve experiential learning.

Along with meeting rooms for clubs and teams, there will be space for showcasing current and past projects to the public and fellow students. This will provide a learning venue as well as raising awareness of the work of respective engineering clubs and teams.
