What I Do
I am the majority shareholder and became President of MECFOR, a company that designs and fabricates specialised equipment for the heavy industry (specialised mobile equipment, rail maintenance equipment, mining equipment and trailers, custom process equipment) after being involved in the company's business development unit for over ten years.  This company exports worldwide.  I am also in charge of Corporate Development for the Holding Company (Le Groupe Ceger) and my role consists in finding opportunities where the three entitees (engineering, construction and manufacturing) can provide turnkey services to the industry.  Le Groupe Ceger employs 1000 individuals and has over 140M$ in business volume, mainly in Quebec (except for the manfucturing branch).

Why Engineering?
It was a way to open as many doors as possible.

My Day At Work
I develop strategies to ensure that our organisations continue their growth and find new markets and clients.  I am also involved in purchasing new companies and to integrate them in our group.

The Best Part of Being an Engineer
The respect I get from both my employees and our clients by understanding the technical aspect of industrial operations and processes and being able to come up with concrete custom equipment ideas "live".

My Family
I have a husband who is also in the business and we share a lot together.  He had two children from a previous marriage (10 and 7) and we have two more of our own (3-year old girl and 1-year old boy).  With all the travelling for the job and the fact that four kids is a very "high maintenance" team but also the greatest accomplishment ever.

Dreams and Goals 
I would like to continue balancing my life between family, friends, work and sports even as some portions of my life are becoming more demanding than others.

Inspiration
My father who has built a business empire while doing so based on very profound values or respect and integrity 

Hobbies
I have two horses, two horses and a cat, although the cat doesn't participate much in our weekend activites, the stable is where the whole familly spend much time riding horses or walking the dogs (even the 1-year old sits on the poney!) 

Want To Be An Engineer
Do it, it is the best education one can get as it opens so many possibilities in life. 

School Days
I chose McMaster Engineering because  of the Management programme.  While in school, I was very inlvolved in the Student Associations from day one and ended up President of the Engineering Society in my fourth year.  During my last year at MAC, together with a bunch of friends, we decided to put together an "engineering musical"- quite the show!  The five years at MAC were just awesome and they made me who I am today.
