Message from the Managing Editor

The Faculty of Engineering's news magazine keeps alumni informed as to what's happening in the various engineering disciplines, and keeps engineering grads in touch with each other. Published three times a year, The MacEngineer is packed not only with department and alumni news, but also with articles about changes within the Faculty as a whole, profiles of notable researchers and their accomplishments, and information about up-coming alumni events.

I am constantly on the lookout for news, and encourage all engineering alumni to send me short pieces about their achievements, awards, career changes ... even family events such as marriages. Of interest, too, are personal accounts by alumni of how a career or travel experience has been enhanced by their engineering degree or their choice of engineering discipline.

After all, engineers are people as well as professionals!
