Requirements for entry into Engineering II Programs

You must have completed 31 units of the following required courses:
Chem 1E03
Engineer 1A00, 1C03, 1D04, 1P03
Matls 1M03
Math 1ZA3, 1ZB3, 1ZC3
Physics 1D03, 1E03

*The completion of your complementary studies electives (6 units) are not required for admission into Engineering II. However they must be completed prior your final year to be eligible for graduation.

A minimum Cumulative Average (C.A.) of 4.0 is required for entry into all level II Engineering programs.

Admission Cut-offs for Engineering II

The C.A. cut-offs for entry into specific Level II programs will vary depending on the demand for that specific program. Cut-offs for some programs may be significantly greater than 4.0.

Formula used to determine cut-offs:

Cumulative Average(C.A) multiplied by  # units registered =  points

Examples:
6.6 C.A. x 37 units = 244.2 points
6.6 C.A. x 31 units = 204.6 points
8.0 C.A. x 34 units = 272    points

*Decisions announced in June will be made using your C.A. from courses completed during Terms- 1, 2, and 3 of the 2006/2007 session. We will not be using grades from the summer school sessions in the initial calculation. You can not use summer school to upgrade your points. You can only use summer to complete your course requirements (31 units as listed above).

**If you are registered in less than 31 units your C.A. will be multiplied by the minimum requirements of 31 units to determine your points for Engineering II program cut-off.
