All purchased items (including food and parking) are valid ONLY on the date/s of the event specified. Any unused portions of the purchase will NOT be transferred to another date.

Event Cancellation by the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering

Life is unpredictable. Sometimes, despite the best-laid plans, events get cancelled. This policy will help us deal with it efficiently and equitably:

The Electrical & Computer Engineering Department reserves the right to cancel an event due to low registration or other circumstances making the event non-viable.

If we cancel an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

If an event is postponed, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the registration to the same event on the new date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Should you cancel participation in an event, the deadline to notify us in order to receive a refund for your registration is ten (10) business days before the event date.

Please note that cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund, however, under special circumstances as determined by the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, refunds may be granted.

Refunds will NOT be available for registrants who do not attend an event.

Cancellations will be accepted via phone 905-525-9140 x24347, fax 905-521-2922 or e-mail, and must be received no later than the 10th business day prior to the event.
