Bachelor of Engineering Disciplines
Engineering students can enroll in the Co-op program at any time during their studie, but are not eligible for Co-op positions before completing Level 1 of their studies.
Students from all Engineering departments have the option to participate in the Co-op program. The main Engineering departments at McMaster are:
- Chemical (with Bioenginering option)
- Civil Engineering (Geotech or Environmental)
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Engineering Physics
- Materials Engineering
- Mechanical
- Computer and Software Engineering - includes the programs Computer Science, Mechatronics and Business Informatics. Software engineering has two streams: game design or embedded systems.
Unique to McMaster: The 5-year programs include Engineering & Management, Engineering & Society, and Engineering & International Studies.

Bachelor of Technology Disciplines
McMaster University and Mohawk College have partnered to establish the Bachelor of Technology program in response to the needs of today's innovation based organizations.The Co-op portions of the programs are mandatory. There are two B.Tech streams: a 4-Year Degree Program, and a 2-Year Degree Completion Program.
