McMaster Engineering Society (MES)

The McMaster Engineering Society (MES) is an organized group of students representing the engineering undergraduate student body at McMaster.

The MES acts as a link between the students and the Faculty of Engineering, the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as well as other student organizations throughout the country such as the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) and the Engineering Societies Council of Ontario (ESSCO).

Each and every undergraduate engineering student is a member of the MES and can benefit from the many events organized and services provided by the Society.

The events can be categorized as social events such as pubs and road trips, sport events such as tournaments and ski trips, professional development events such as conferences and speakers, and educational events such as industry tours and workshops.

The services provided by the MES include Engineering Co-op & Career Services (ECS - offering resume workshops, Internship applications, international exchanges), the "productions" (the 'EngTimes' newsletter, the Student Handbook and Student Directory), our own store called the "Drain", a brand new Engineering Student Centre and many more.

As well, the MES is responsible for organizing Welcome Week activities and providing first year students with a better understanding of McMaster Engineering.
