Program Accreditation

The McMaster University Civil Engineering Program goes through a number of review processes to ensure that the program is meeting the needs of our students.

McMaster University's Undergraduate Program Review Process - UPR's assist academic programs in clarifying their objectives and assess curriculum and pedagogical policies, including desirable changes for future academic development. Management of the UPR process is done by the Office of the Provost, and reviews are completed at least once every 7 years.

The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board - CEAB accredits undergraduate engineering programs that provide the academic requirements necessary for licensure as a professional engineer in Canada. CEAB reviews are completed at least once every 7 years.

The Ontario Council on Graduate Studies - OCGS conducts quality reviews of graduate (master's and PhD) programs that have been proposed for implementation in Ontario's universities and performs quality reviews of existing programs on a seven-year cycle.
