The Office of the Associate Dean of Engineering offers academic counselling and academic services for Engineering students.

Dr. Ken Coley, Associate Dean of Engineering (Academic)
Dr. Ken Coley is responsible for all of the undergraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering. His portfolio includes admissions, curriculum development, administration of academic regulations, review of student progress, special accommodations for students and any other issues that directly impact undergraduate students.

Dr. Spencer Smith, Director, Engineering 1 Program
Dr. Smith is the Director of the unique and supportive learning environment dedicated to first year students in Engineering at McMaster.

Maria White, Assistant Dean (Studies)
Maria is involved in admission decisions, approval of registrations, approval of registration changes, approval of Letters of Permission, and she is actively involved in the reviewing of grades in May. Her many years of experience have provided the knowledge of academic regulations and curriculum which is an asset when advising students.

Arlene Fajutrao Dosen, Manager, Recruitment and Communications
Arlene oversees Engineering I Outreach as well as branding and communication activities for the Faculty of Engineering. With over 20 years at McMaster, Arlene brings extensive expertise in recruiting, strategic enrolment management, communications, and relationship development from a variety of roles at the University.

Deborah McIvor, Special Projects Coordinator

Karen Winger, Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is the first person to greet you when you walk in the office. This office accepts medical certificates when work is missed. The Information Assistant is a source of information to the public - someone to ask when you don't know where else to make inquiries about undergraduate activities.
