Living Legacy Project
50th Anniversary
It is daily items we often take for granted, small mementos and shared memories that build up over time that tell our story and help shape our future. These items, when brought together, reflect a community and convey its purpose and direction. They remind us of who we are, what we stand for, and where we want to go.
That is the inspiration behind The Living Legacy Project, a showcase of more than one hundred Faculty of Engineering mementos and keepsakes donated by alumni, faculty and staff. And, as the name suggests, the collection will continue to grow as future generations donate items that hold significance to them while involved with the Faculty of Engineering.
The Living Legacy Project is an initiative of The Young Engineering Alumni Advisory Committee, under the leadership of committee chair Peter Topalovic (Engineering and Society ’04). It was undertaken as a special initiative to commemorate the Faculty of Engineering’s 50th anniversary in 2008.
Items in the Living Legacy Project collection will be showcased in a glass case located in the new engineering building now under construction.
