"I thoroughly enjoyed the invitation you presented on Page
10, "MacEngineer - Winter 2008.
In light of the huge lead-time you've
offered-up, this is to confirm that unless I get clobbered
by a meteorite in the meantime (or similar, "day-spoiling" event)
I will organize myself (and hopefully my wife's self) to
attend this year's '50-Year' Fireball-Bender.......er...."Gala".....
[It was, afterall, Mac Campus, where Deb and I first met
during the Tuesday of Frosh Week, '74......in the splendour
of Whidden Hall Quad........LUCKIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!]
I'm already counting the minutes to
the '08 Fireball Bender.......er.....Gala! According to
information outlined at the link you included with your
invitation, it seems safe to say that "somebody's" been
very busy with organization-excellence! I'm guessing that
the venue for the event, is the structure whose construction
was just newly-underway, when I last visited campus, in May,
'05. I recall thinking then, that according to Artist renderings
which I viewed on campus at that time, the Sports Complex
area at Mac was going to be 'turned on its ear', once the
expanded facility was completed. Nice!
There will be no excuse for me not to pick-up some 'killer-airfare',
with this sort of advance notice....
Thanks for bein' you, Carm!
Best Regards"

"Shalom Carm! Sorry I can't get to the big reunion,
so I am sending my picture instead. Very warm regards
to Riley, Reist, Navin, McLellan, Nyal Wilson, Gunner Oravas,
Pete Smith, Wally Booth. To all the gang!! Thanks
to the good Lord, I am well. Next Ap. 23 I will be
81. I have worn out the T-shirts you last sent me -
are there a few left?
I remember how overjoyed Dr. Hodgins
was when I presented my idea to him! Best Regards"
